Imagine a world where juicy cheeseburgers and slices of pizza fall like rain from the sky. Mountains are made of ice cream we can scoop into enormous cones as we glide down their slopes. All of the food is completely free of cost... and completely free of calories, too. Andddd back to reality. As much as I wish I could eat whatever I want without any consequences, that’s just not the case. Living in NYC, with all of its amazing restaurants, makes it really hard to balance food and fitness. Okay, okay, I know - first world problems!
I know that I am incredibly lucky to have daily opportunities to eat delicious food, so I feel a bit silly complaining about trying to stay healthy; however, I need to keep things real for the people following along on my foodventures. Eating all of the delicious things in front of you can definitely take a toll on the body. Life is not always cheeseburgers and French fries - sometimes it’s salads and protein shakes! But does eating healthy mean that you have to settle for food that doesn’t taste as good? No way. I’m here to tell you about my new favorite health food that helps me balance out those nights when I choose to indulge in high calorie treats.
I never imagined that I, a self-proclaimed carnivore, would ever be promoting protein shakes, but that was before I tried Svelte’s delicious offerings! They were kind enough to send me some samples of their most popular flavors: Chocolate, Spiced Chai, and Banana Creme and I was blown away! The Spiced Chai was velvety and sweet with vanilla, cinnamon, and a hint of nutmeg. It tasted like I was drinking a Chai Latte that was actually good for me! The Chocolate tasted like a milkshake, full of guilt-free deliciousness! All of the flavors were super tasty, but I think the Banana Creme was my favorite! This shake is the only one on the market made with organic banana puree - and you can really notice the difference. It tastes like actual banana instead of that artificial, syrupy-sweet flavoring found in so many products. All of Svelte’s shakes are certified gluten-free, vegan, and organic, and they’re packed with the protein you need to get through a busy day. I’m really glad I found them! You can still find this carnivore eating burgers for dinner, but in the mornings you will often find me drinking a Svelte shake and trying to fit in a trip to the gym.
